Who we are

42nd Street is a leading Greater Manchester charity dedicated to supporting young people’s mental health. We take a creative, rights-based approach to mental health, helping young people navigate life’s challenges and achieve their potential. We work with a wide diversity of young people and are committed to inclusion, innovation, and impactful support.

What are we looking for

We are seeking a diverse range of applicants to join our Board of Trustees. Whether you’re an experienced trustee or a young professional eager to gain board experience, we welcome individuals who are passionate about young people’s mental health. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute strategic thinking, leadership skills, and governance experience.

What would you be doing as a volunteer

  • Providing strategic direction and governance
  • Ensuring compliance and financial oversight
  • Supporting leadership and decision-making
  • Contributing to our five-year strategy
  • Helping to drive real change for young people’s mental health

Commitment:
Trustees are expected to attend bi-monthly board meetings in Manchester.
