Minimum amount of hours required: 28
Description of the opportunity:

We would like to re-start the Homework Club at Powerhouse Library from September 2023. Mondays 4:30-6:30.

Minimum commitment of three months required. You will be expected to stay for the whole session.

You will gain experience of teaching and educating. You will gain experience working with young people and children in a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. The skills you gain are valuable and can be added to CVs or applications. You will be part of something worthwhile and hopefully have some fun!

Someone who likes working with children and young people would benefit from this opportunity. An outgoing, confident personality would be ideal, as would be some knowledge of the school system. You need to be able to communicate well with children and be able to find information needed, either online, or in books.

The covid-19 pandemic has hit young people hard and the effects can still be felt today. Many services children and young people enjoyed before have now been cut or discontinued. We want to give something back to the community and help children and young people to have the same opportunities as their peers had before the pandemic.

Minimum commitment of three months required. You will be expected to stay for the whole session.

If you would like to know more please apply now.
