Who we are

Yellow Bird Age Friendly Group are a community group based in Hulme who support anyone feeling isolated or lonely. 

We run a weekly activities group on Thursday mornings to chat and socialise. Other activities also include chair based exercises, painting, making cards - anything to stimulate the mind and the hands.

As well as our weekly groups, we also go on fun or educational trips out. For example, we have recently been to the history museum in Liverpool.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for someone who likes older people, and has good computer skills. We are especially keen to find volunteers who understand or are keen to learn about funding for small groups. 

If you are trained in funding or have experience of funding/grant applications, that is ideal. We also have other general administration tasks that we need help with, as well as any outreach to find new participants or volunteers - such as social media. We would love to have more of an online presence. 

What would you be doing as a volunteer?

In this role you would be: 

• Making grant/funding applications
• Doing scheduling and administration tasks 
• Helping build our online presence 

We can provide you with the laptop. We can also pay your travel expenses.
