Who we are:

Dobbies Garden Centre is hosting Christmas fundraising collections to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. The Teenage Cancer Trust fund specialised nurses, youth workers and hospital units in the NHS to help young people with cancer diagnoses through every step of their treatment - and up to 2 years afterwards - so that they can recover and live life to the full. They also provide events for young people to help them regain their independence, as well as provide easy-to-access information about every aspect of living with cancer as a young person.

What are we looking for?

• Reliability and punctuality

What would you be doing as a volunteer?

• Collect cash donations from shoppers and direct them to the tills for card donations
• Take card donations using GiveStar on your personal phone
• Help raise awareness and engage the public with our work
• Be a friendly and approachable face of the charity
• What will I gain?
• Support from in-store Dobbies staff on the night and a dedicated member of on-call staff from Teenage Cancer Trust
• Volunteer t-shirt
• Ultimately help Teenage Cancer Trust to make sure every young person with cancer has the best care and support
• Out of pocket expenses reimbursed in line with our volunteer expenses policy
