Who we are:

Action for Happiness are a movement of people taking action to create a happier and kinder world, together.

We do this by helping people get together regularly (face-to-face where possible) to learn evidence-based skills for happier living, feel a sense of belonging and commit to personal action to create more happiness, both for themselves and others.

We have no religious, political or commercial affiliations and welcome people of all faiths (or none) and all parts of society. Members of the movement make a simple pledge: to try to create more happiness in the world. 

 

What are we looking for?

Do you want to see more happiness and kindness in the world? We’re looking for dynamic Volunteers to be part of creating exactly that!

Volunteering with Action for Happiness is a path of action that consistently feels like you are making a difference in the world. You don’t have to be an expert - or be happy all the time. If you are a warm and enthusiastic person that is more than enough to get started.

 

What would you be doing as a volunteer?

Our volunteers bring people together for shared learning experiences, based on positive psychology, that boost the wellbeing of everyone involved.

  • The amazing 6-week, online Happiness Habits course is designed to be run by pairs of volunteers like you. It features expert videos, science-backed exercises and the chance to form meaningful connections. It is a very impactful (many say life-changing) experience.
  • If running a 6-week course feels like too big of a first step, don't worry, you can also get involved by supporting a monthly group (they are a little bit less formal, while still having a huge positive impact!).
