The Eastern Sudan Community Association (ESCA-Manchester) is searching for a dedicated volunteer welfare & first aid assistant to join our Youth Active Heritage & Football Project. You will help keep 60 children and young people (aged 5-16) safe, supervised, and well-cared for on the pitch. Working closely with our lead coaches, you will actively supervise the children and take charge of all health and safety protocols. Duties include acting as the primary first responder for minor sports injuries, stepping in decisively during severe medical emergencies (such as suspected fractures, airway obstructions, or breathing cessation), taking full control of emergency situations, and liaising directly with emergency services (999) when necessary. ESCA-UK provides a fully stocked, comprehensive first aid kit and all necessary medical supplies. Applicants MUST already hold a valid, in-date first aid certificate (e.g., Emergency First Aid at Work, Pediatric, or Sports First Aid), as ESCA-Manchester does not provide funding for external training. We offer fully reimbursed out-of-pocket travel expenses, pay for and organize your Enhanced DBS check, and provide an excellent opportunity to gain high-pressure, practical pitch-side experience to boost your CV.
