About FareShare

FareShare (soon to be known as Felix) is the UK’s national network of charitable food redistributors, made up of 18 independent organisations. Together, we take good quality surplus food from across the food industry and get it to nearly 8,500 frontline charities and community groups. It reaches charities across the UK such as, school breakfast clubs, older people’s lunch clubs, homeless shelters and community cafes.

FareShare Greater Manchester has been run by EMERGE 3Rs since 2008. EMERGE is a charity that has been active in the principles of the 3Rs (reduce, reuse and recycle) since 1996. From our regional centre based on New Smithfield Market we redistribute food to over 260 charities and community groups. You would be joining a committed team of staff and volunteers working hard to increase the amount of food we can receive and redistribute to our member organisations.
About Delicious Vegelicious

Vegelicious is an extension of FareShare Greater Manchester. As we began receiving more fresh fruit and vegetables, we developed a way to distribute this produce more strategically. We now deliver around 800 kilos of mixed fruit and vegetables to each of our 20 different members, including schools, charities running cooking projects, and community food initiatives. They can use the produce in their cooking or distribute it to people in the community at a low cost.

Delicious Vegelicious shows people quick and easy ways to make nutritious, affordable meals using vegetables both familiar and unfamiliar, helping people discover new flavours and reduce food waste.

If you are currently job‑seeking, this role gives you the chance to make a real difference in tackling food insecurity while gaining valuable experience and skills to support your path into work.
