Key Responsibilities
- Content Creation & Curation: Design and curate compelling content (e.g., posts, graphics, videos) that highlights our work, events, and community stories for platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
- Social Media Management: Plan, schedule, and publish content regularly, ensuring a consistent and authentic voice that aligns with our values.
- Community Engagement: Interact with our followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions, fostering a supportive and engaged online community.
- Campaign Support: Assist in the development and execution of social media campaigns to promote key initiatives, events, and fundraising efforts.
- SEO Optimization: Implement basic SEO practices to enhance the visibility of our website and ensure it reaches a broad and relevant audience.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay informed about social media trends and best practices, especially those related to community development and grassroots movements.
- Website Content Updates: Regularly update and maintain the Community Savers website, ensuring all content is accurate, engaging, and aligned with our mission. This includes posting new content, updating existing pages, and optimizing user experience.
- Analytics & Reporting: Track and analyse engagement metrics for our social media accounts and the website, using insights to improve content strategy and digital engagement.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Prior experience in social media management, website content updates, digital marketing, or communications is beneficial, but not essential. Familiarity with LinkedIn, content management systems (e.g., WordPress), and SEO is a plus. Passion and creativity are key!
- Communication: Excellent written communication skills, with an ability to craft messages that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Creativity: A flair for creating engaging and visually appealing content that tells a story and reflects our mission.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with social media platforms, scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer), and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva). Basic knowledge of website content management and SEO.
- Organised: Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Passion for Social Justice: A strong commitment to community development, social justice, and the empowerment of marginalised groups.
