Description of the opportunity:

Do you have a background in tech? We need your support!

We’re looking for mentors to support us with our new technology based programme IntoTech, in partnership with Futures for All and The HG Foundation. The programme will connect 2,000 young people from disadvantaged backgrounds with professionals working across different technology roles, helping them explore future career opportunities and build confidence in their next steps. We need mentors to support us with the online mentoring aspect of the programme. Alongside the mentoring young people will be receiving work experience, industry insights and aspirational talks from those within he UK Technology sector. Our mentors will be available to support a wrap around service to support young people on the programme.

Full training, resources and DBS will be provided by Brightside. No prior experience required.

What do you need to do?

  • Share what your job is really like — the good days and the hard ones
  • Help a young person picture themselves in a tech career
  • Answer questions, open doors, and build their confidence
  • Grow your own coaching, leadership and storytelling skills
