Northmoor Hub provides specialist support to help people with guidance on a range of issues including benefits (Universal Credit, Council Tax Benefit, etc), housing, filling in forms and more.

We need volunteers to support people by:
Setting up e-mail accounts, using the internet, downloading and uploading documents and reading and understanding online messages.
Helping them to fill in forms (online and paper).
Making phone calls on their behalf.

You will start by shadowing our staff until you can give the right help by yourself. You would not be expected to fulfil all aspects of the role immediately but to learn over time. 

If you love helping others and have good English and IT skills you could really help make a difference in our community. 
We particularly welcome volunteers who speak additional languages like Urdu, Bangla, Hindi, Punjabi, Arabic, Farsi, Sorani or French.

Volunteers usually volunteer for one 3-hour session per week within these available hours:

Tuesday 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm
Wednesday 10am-1pm and 3pm-6pm
Thursday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm
Friday 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm

We will provide:
Paid out of pocket expenses
Free GDPR training
Professional reference after completing 30 hours of volunteering
