Description of the opportunity:

We would love help with spreading information on our activities and services to our local community and improving communication online and in person. We would love help with the following below. Please note that you would gain free community subscription and we are always looking for grants to fund ways of rewarding our volunteers such as merchandise, vouchers.

1. Resource Curator - most needed

Help us build out the Resources section of our website so members can easily find trustworthy, relevant information.

What you'll do:

  • Add resources from our digital catalogue and add to our website
  • Check resources are credible, current, and appropriate before adding them
  • Organise and categorise resources so they're easy to browse
  • Keep an eye out for broken links or outdated material

Good fit if you: are detail-oriented, enjoy research, and care about accuracy.

2. Community & Forum Engagement Volunteer

Help our forums feel warm, active, and worth coming back to.

What you'll do:

  • Start and encourage discussions on the forums
  • Respond to posts to keep conversations going
  • Welcome new members and help them find their footing
  • Flag any issues (spam, moderation concerns) to the team
  • Report wrongdoing - extremely important

Good fit if you: are personable, active online, and enjoy building community.

3. Outreach & Promotion Volunteer

Help more people find out about NeuroQueerz — online and in person.

What you'll do:

  • Share and promote NeuroQueerz on social media and in-person
  • Represent us at events, meetups, or community spaces (as opportunities arise).
  • Help spread the word to relevant networks, groups, and organisations
  • Bring ideas for new ways to reach people
  • You are more than welcome to attend our in-person events and socialise with the community and build connections.

Good fit if you: are outgoing, comfortable talking about our mission, and plugged into relevant communities (online or local).
