Grants data and our updated data sets

28 Apr 2016 - 13:02 by michelle.foster

We’ve just published our updated data sets for volunteers and groups for January – March 2016, which can be found here: https://www.manchestercommunitycentral.org/policy-and-influence/open-data.

Open Data Manchester, which was set up as part of FutureEverything’s Open Data Cities project and sought to create a forum for people who were working on or interested in Open Data in the region, held an event in March to showcase the increasing number of datasets on philanthropy, grant funding and social investment that are being opened, standardised and shared.

Open Data Manchester have been working with the Big Lottery to publish their open data sets to the 360Giving data standard and these are now available on the Big Lottery’s website here: https://www.biglotteryfund.org.uk/research/making-the-most-of-funding/open-data#

The data published by the Big Lottery shows all the recipients of their grants from 2004-2013. You can see who the grant was to, what it was for, how much they were awarded plus more.

We also worked with Open Data Manchester to publish data on the Reducing Social Isolation grants we awarded to the 360Giving data standard, which can be found on our website here: https://www.manchestercommunitycentral.org/policy-and-influence/open-data.

It’s great to see so much information available to everyone on grants that have been awarded, so you can discover what projects close to you have been funded.
