An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and experienced leader to join Mencap’s Communities Teams’ Family Engagement Programme as a Family Engagement Partner. Royal Mencap Society are looking for an experienced manager that has led and delivered community-based initiatives and is ready for their next step.
The postholder will lead and drive forward, the management, delivery and evaluation of our Family Engagement Project in Tameside and will lead on all aspects such as budget management, line management of delivery staff, risk management, external and internal reporting, and future development. The Family Engagement Partner will be responsible for collaborating with local stakeholders, fundraising, evaluation and impact, and operational teams to develop and grow the Family Engagement Project in Tameside. They will support efforts to secure funding and scale up great ideas, as well as sustain existing ones.
The successful candidate will lead and manage a team of colleagues. They will support colleagues to use their strengths and to develop skills and knowledge to ensure successful performance and delivery in line with funder and contractual requirements. They will monitor progress on projects, prepare reports, and deliver influential stakeholder management with internal and external stakeholders (including funders).
This position is a part-time role, 25 hours per week over Tuesday – Friday, primarily based from home however, on occasions, there may be a requirement to work within the community. This role will be until Jan 2025 and depending upon further funding, there may be a possibility of an extension beyond this date.
