Caritas Diocese of Salford require a Finance and Payroll Officer who has a passion for numbers, systems and processes to join the finance team at Caritas Diocese of Salford. You will become part of a dynamic organisation which works across Greater Manchester and parts of Lancashire to help those experiencing poverty, disadvantage and discrimination to transform their lives with dignity.

You will work with the finance team to maintain the charity’s financial records, prepare invoices, maintain the sales ledger including credit control procedures and ensure employees are paid accurately, on time and in accordance with Government legalisation. You will also contribute to all areas of the finance department as required.

You will provide support to staff with the use of the payroll software, as well as liaise with the Human Resources Department to ensure that any payroll related matters are correctly recorded and processed, as well as resolve any payroll queries that occur in a timely and professional manner. You will also be responsible for administration of the pension schemes, authorisation of employee expenses on a monthly basis and prepare for audits and participate in any audit review.

Experience of working in a similar finance is essential. It is also essential for you to be a part or a fully qualified accountant within the following AAT/CIMA/ACCA/ACA and for you to have a high level of IT competence of accounting software and MS Excel.
