Action for Conservation have launched WildWEB, a brand new digital programme to support young people aged 13 - 17 to take action for the environment over this period and prepare for the world that lies beyond the lockdown.
WildWEB is completely free and is hosted by a team alongside expert volunteers and an exciting lineup of special guests. The programme is for all young people, regardless of knowledge level, experience, interest and resources. You'll be on this journey with hundreds of inspiring young people from all over the country and even beyond our borders.
The WildWEB journey
Each WildWEB will explore a different big issue impacting our planet and learn how we can take action from our homes while pushing for big systemic changes around us.
Week 1: Uncover the truth
You'll meet a team of environmental experts and campaigners from the frontline to discuss the causes of the climate and ecological crisis and explore the power structures that got us into this mess.
Week 2: The upside
You'll discover innovative and creative solutions for a greener, more equal society whilst building crucial skills to tackle the big issues like persuasive writing, public speaking, practical conservation and filmmaking.
Week 3: Take action
With support, you'll use the resources around you to take action at home. Lead a DIY project, rewild your garden or balcony, upcycle your old clothes, start a campaign with other young people...the sky is the limit!
Week 4: Share and celebrate
You’ll receive help to share your successes from the month with others on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Twitter. Then you'll come together with other WildWEB participants to celebrate and plan your legacy.
