Action for Conservation’s (AFC) Summer Camps are a chance for young people to spend five all-inclusive days exploring and experiencing the outdoors, taking action for nature and making friends for life. The camps are open to young people aged 12-16 who are living in England or Wales.
AFC mission is to bring the magic of nature into young people’s lives, inspiring a youth movement committed to conservation and to the earth. AFC work with 12 to 24-year-olds across the UK, empowering and inspiring the next generation of environmental leaders.
During the school year, AFC provide young people with knowledge, skills and resources to take environmental action in their schools, youth groups and communities. Come the summer, AFC hit the great outdoors for epic adventures in the heart of the UK's National Parks, exploring nature with young people living across England and Wales.
AFC camps are based in three of the UK’s most amazing National Parks. They are the adventure of a lifetime and are packed with fun hands-on activities and time spent immersed in nature guided by the staff team of young conservation professionals and volunteers. Young people will develop their environmental knowledge and skills, make unforgettable memories and return home ready to drive change in their community.
