Black History Month Greater Manchester 2025 – Celebrating Black Excellence: New toolkit and events directory

As part of Black History Month 2025, CAHN are proud to launch two new resources to celebrate and amplify Black voices in Greater Manchester.

Black Leaders Toolkit
Shining a light on the extraordinary contributions of Black leaders connected to our region, this year's toolkit features (A-Z): Sharon Amesu, Rev Francess Davies-Tagoe, Sir W. Arthur Lewis & Prof David Olusoga OBE.

The toolkit includes inspiring biographies, quote cards, and ready-to-use graphics to support your Black History Month communications. It offers an accessible way to celebrate local and global Black excellence, while connecting to Greater Manchester's proud history of activism, scholarship, and leadership.

Greater Manchester Black History Month Events Calendar
CAHN have also launched an online events calendar showcasing Black History Month celebrations across Greater Manchester. This community-driven calendar features events from organisations, individuals, and groups throughout the region.
