Carers Manchester South

Carers Manchester South work to identity and support unpaid carers within the South of Manchester City Council. Carers Manchester South do outreach in the local community to try to reach as many unpaid carers as they can, some of whom may not identify or recognise themselves as an unpaid carer. Carers Manchester South  are able to support and signpost these carers to local services and to the contact point which is the first point of contact for carers in Manchester. For more information visit: www.carersmanchester.org.uk

Carers Manchester South also put on events for carers in order to either give them a break from their caring role or a chance to spend quality time with the person they care for and to help them meet other carers in the area. These have included trips to RHS Bridgewater, drumming circles and bowling to name a few. All of the events and support are free for carers.

Carers Manchester South are able to do pop up stands in waiting areas with flyers and information about local services as well as attend events you may run. Carers Manchester South can deliver carer awareness sessions to staff in your staff meetings or other forums. Carers Manchester South would love to share more their role and how they can support unpaid carers as well as drop some of the flyers to you.
