The Person
• Demonstrable operational and organisational management experience
• Local to North West/commutable to Manchester and strong understanding of the geographical locality and sporting landscape
• Direct experience of growing a small business/charity to a large success
• Experienced manager and leader with proven management skills and staff development expertise
• Excellent contacts across Greater Manchester and beyond
• Proven financial and budgetary management expertise
• Highly capable thinker and planner with a good track record in translating strategy and strategic thinking into successful day-to-day delivery whilst demonstrating strong communication skills at all levels
• Able to galvanise and inspire people to get involved at all levels
• Must be inspirational, driven to achieve the objectives of the charity
The Job
• Shaping the future of the charity as it continues to grow
• Operational guidance for this ambitious charity
• Drive sport to compliment the development of young people and introduce good principles, values and disciplines
• Overall strategic direction to ensure the provision of services which reflect the business needs, strategy and vision
• Proactively lead and manage the board of trustees to deliver on strategic objectives
• Ensuring policies and proceedures, activities and services support the strategy and business plan
• Contributing to the development of the organisation
• Lead the board to develop and drive forward the fundraising strategy, inclusive of individuals who fundraise for us through to large scale events
• Communicating with donors, supporters and key relationships, schools etc., also with media and assisting the general promotion of the charity
Commitment
• 20 hours per month on a flexible basis to support the Chief Executive and DMSF
