FareShare Greater Manchester Food Stories Podcast Episode 1: Our Food Story

Welcome to the first episode of Food Stories, a podcast from FareShare Greater Manchester. In this episode FareShare Greater Manchester share their story – who they are and what they do.

Last year, FareShare Greater Manchester rescued almost 2,000 tonnes of good-to-eat surplus food from going to waste. That food was redistributed to more than 300 charities and community groups across Greater Manchester and in real terms equated to 4.6 million meals. FareShare Greater Manchester would not be able to do the work they do without their fantastic volunteers who last year donated over 21,000 hours of their time to their operation.

In this episode FareShare Greater Manchester share a bit about what they do at their warehouse on New Smithfield Market and give a little insight into how they get that much needed food out into the community.

You can listen to the podcast on their website here as well as on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other podcast platforms too.
