Free access to the Gingerbread online information library

25 Jun 2013 - 16:37 by cheryl.mcalister

Gingerbread has received funding from HMRC which has enabled them to offer Voluntary and Community organisations access to the Gingerbread Online Information Library.

The Gingerbread Online Information Library exists to guide practitioners through sometimes complex legislation and policy issues affecting single parents. It is regularly updated by our dedicated information team, to make sure practitioners have the advice and information they need to give to their single parent clients.

Topics include: splitting up, childcare, child maintenance, education and training, starting work, tax credits, dealing with debt and useful organisations. Links to Gingerbread factsheets are included so you’ll have the information to pass on to your clients.

Gingerbread is able to offer a limited number of Voluntary and Community Sector organisations a year’s free access to this expert resource. Due to funder restrictions organisations that work with single parents who have experienced or are currently experiencing one or more of the issues that are outline below will be prioritised.

  • Domestic violence
  • Mental health problems
  • Homelessness
  • Debt
  • English as second language
  • Relationship breakdown
  • Bereavement
  • Housing upheavals
  • Moving into work
