Self Help, a user-led mental health charity are offering free wellbeing workshops to organisations in Manchester and are inviting VCSE organisations to take advantage of the offer.
For many years Self Help have offered a range of psychological therapies to people who are already struggling with their mental health and are in need of some support. Now they want to get out to people and provide services before their mental health becomes an issue. They can come along to your workplace or community group to provide a workshop on mindfulness, managing stress, or getting a good night’s sleep, with a view to preventing issues from becoming more problematic.
All the workshops are based on research evidence and psychological theory and delivered by fully trained Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners. They can teach attendees practical techniques to improve their mental wellbeing as well as build knowledge and develop insight around common problems that we might experience.
These workshops can take place at your organisation, are free and take 1.5 hours to complete. All attendees will also be provided with materials to take away covering the techniques discussed.
If you have any questions, or would like to discuss having a workshop delivered at your organisation, contact Keanu Court (the Group Development and Community Engagement Team Lead at Self Help) on 0794 611 4307, or email: [email protected]
