Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People - Disability Action Training: What are your training needs?

2 Dec 2016 - 08:55 by michelle.foster

Greater Manchester Coalition of Disabled People (GMCDP) is a disabled people's organisation that is 100% run and controlled by disabled people. The organisation campaigns for the rights and full inclusion of disabled people.

Currently, GMCDP are running a project called 'Shaping Our Inclusion' that allows them to provide free training to service providers throughout Greater Manchester. The aim of this training is to inform and influence good practice and effective changes to make services more accessible for disabled people. Young disabled will be involved in the design and delivery of the sessions and the training is action based, with a view to facilitating you to identify the best action(s) to make your service more accessible. GMCDP would like to then contact you to review the training's effectiveness.

This project is running over 3 years and GMCDP is focussing on different boroughs throughout that. This information will be incredibly helpful for their long term strategy.

Complete this survey: www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/WDYBQHY to help identify what areas GMCDP should focus the training sessions on. There is an opportunity within the survey to suggest additional areas of training GMCDP may be able to deliver.

If you would like to speak to GMCDP about the free training they deliver, contact 0161 636 7538, or email: [email protected]
