Greater Manchester Talent Match - Organisations invited to host Talent Coaches

8 Aug 2014 - 11:14 by michelle.foster

Greater Manchester Talent Match is a Big Lottery-funded programme, led by Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation (GMCVO), which brings together the private, public and voluntary sectors to support the most disadvantaged young people towards employment.

Key to the success of the programme is the provision of intensive support to young people by ‘Talent Coaches’, who work with 18 to 24 year-olds to design their personal pathway towards employment and broker their journey through local provision.

GMCVO is inviting frontline organisations working with young people in Greater Manchester to apply to host these Talent Coaches.

GMCVO are seeking applications from organisations which have a good track record in engaging with young unemployed people in their local community, particularly those who are not engaging with mainstream services. This main commissioning round follows on from our successful pilot earlier in the year.

The deadline for this round is Monday 15 September 2014, 9am.

GMCVO are holding commissioning briefing events which will provide further information about the Greater Manchester Talent Match principles, delivery model and eligibility criteria. These events will be held at the St Thomas Centre on the following dates:
• Wednesday 13 August, 1.30pm-3.30pm
• Wednesday 3 September, 1.30pm-3.30pm
