Greater Manchester Youth Network’s VIP

27 Sep 2013 - 11:57 by michelle.foster

Volunteer Infrastructure Project (VIP) aims to work with organisations and individuals to build capacity and ability to support volunteers in delivery of youth work, projects and activities in central district.

Greater Manchester Youth Network (GMYN) are looking to meet with organisations that are delivering youth work in central Manchester to build up a picture of the type of practical support and activities this project could provide either bespoke to individual organisations or as a general offer that youth work delivery organisations can access and benefit from. This could include support recruiting volunteers, youth work training for volunteers, policy development etc

As we are in the development stage I want to ensure the project’s offer to be informed by the needs and experience of the organisations, workers and volunteers themselves and look to how this fits in with & can complement existing support offered by other organisations and networks.
