Volunteering with Home-Start is a great opportunity to gain skills and experience in dealing with families and children and to do something rewarding through helping local families. If you have a couple of hours spare a week to support a family with young children this could be for you. 
Home-Start Manchester South is very short of volunteers for Home-Start’s next course of preparation. Once trained volunteers provide emotional and practical support to families through weekly home visits. Families are frequently isolated, with low self-esteem and confidence and may be struggling to cope for a variety of reasons. Full training and support is given and expenses paid.
The next course will run on: Tuesdays from Tuesday 31 January 2017, 9.30am-2.30pm for 6 weeks (excluding half term week) at The Place, Platt Lane, Fallowfield.
