Right now, right here in the UK people seeking refugee status are banned from working whilst they wait months, even years, for a decision on their asylum claim. The Lift the Ban coalition campaigns for the automatic 
right to work for people seeking asylum after 6 months of waiting for a decision on their asylum claim, unrestricted by the shortage occupation list.
Joining the coalition is spectacularly easy once the decision has been made to do it! All organisations have to do is send Julia Savage an email saying that they would like to join, and provide an organisational logo and a contact name. As a result of joining, the named contact will receive email updates (around twice a month) on Lift the Ban related developments and advocacy, and opportunities to get involved, and their logo will be displayed on the campaign website: https://lifttheban.co.uk/
