Greater Manchester Youth Network are looking for new members to join the Talent Match Youth Panel
What is Talent Match?
Talent Match is a new programme funded by the Big Lottery that will provide different projects across Greater Manchester for young people who are not in education, employment or training to move towards becoming employed.
Who are the Youth Panel?
Greater Manchester Youth Network are supporting a group of young people, the Talent Match Youth Panel, to give their input to the development of activities that will be offered through programme.
The Youth Panel members are from different areas of Greater Manchester, aged between 18-25, who are currently unemployed or have some experience of unemployment. They are passionate about improving the chances for young unemployed people in Manchester.
What does the Youth Panel do?
The Youth Panel generally meet once a month. The role of Youth Panel Member is important because they will help to ensure that the activities for Talent Match are designed and developed with young people in mind and that they will make a real difference in helping people to gain employment. Youth Panel members also get to take part in training and develop their skills. So far the panel have filmed, edited and produced a film to submit to the Big Lottery for the Talent Match bid about unemployment in Greater Manchester.
The next youth panel meeting is on: Thursday 9 May, 6-8pm at GMCVO in Manchester.
