The Manchester Jewish Museum are looking for volunteers to join their team as they prepare for their big reopening this summer. Whether you’re interested in learning new skills, giving something back or just making new friends and being part of a team, they want to hear from you.

Volunteers are an integral part of the Manchester Jewish Museum Team. They enrich the experience of visitors and enable the museum to engage and connect with as many people as possible.

Volunteers are accepting and welcome all, respecting differences and seeking common ground with others. They are helpful, supportive and make a positive difference.

Everybody is welcome to join the volunteer team. The museum is looking for volunteers who are imaginative, open minded and can bring lots of enthusiasm to their role.

Volunteers support the museum through welcoming visitors, preparing and serving nourishing meals in the café, supporting delivery of events and activities and guiding people through the gallery and synagogue.

There will be several volunteer roles including:

  • Gallery and synagogue guides
  • Front of house volunteers (welcome, shop and café)
  • Family and weekend volunteers
