Manchester Ward Boundary Review Engagement and Consultation

Manchester City Council is currently taking part in a review of its electoral ward boundaries being carried out by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England (LGBCE).

The review will consider whether ward boundaries continue to reflect local communities, provide fair representation and support effective local government. As part of this process, the LGBCE will be running a programme of public engagement and consultation from November 2026, giving residents, community groups, organisations and businesses the opportunity to share their views.

Manchester City Council are offering the opportunity to receive information about:

  • The Manchester ward boundary review
  • Future consultation and engagement opportunities
  • Public information and updates issued by the LGBCE
  • Local engagement sessions and events taking place during the consultation period
  • Opportunities to submit evidence and views about local communities and neighbourhoods
