Manjeet must stay in the UK

13 Oct 2014 - 15:10 by michelle.foster

Join the lobby outside the Appeal Tribunal Manchester

Date & Time: Thursday 16 October 2014, 9am-10am
Venue: Asylum and Immigration Tribunal, Piccadilly Exchange, Piccadilly Plaza (top of Mosley Street just before Piccadilly Gardens), Manchester M1 4AH

Human Rights campaigner and wheelchair user Manjeet Kaur urgently needs your help as she appeals a Home Office eviction decision.

Manjeet, Chair of RAPAR, is facing eviction from her home of 3 years in Whalley Range because her asylum case is deemed by the Home Office to be at an end. Yet, in the view of her lawyers, successive judges have failed to examine the core issues of her case. The Home Office is prepared to evict a disabled woman who uses a wheelchair onto the streets when the facts of her asylum case have not been properly considered.

Help stop this.

Join trade unionists, disability and equal rights activists, and other campaigners at the lobby in support of Manjeet Kaur.

Speakers: Elizabeth Coleman (Quakers), Pete Kalu (Author), Farid Vahidi (RAPAR Leadership). Supported by Deyika Nzeribe (Green Party), more to be confirmed.
