New 2015 Childcare and Health and Social Care courses

Starting in early 2015, Manchester Adult Education are offering new courses for people interested in starting a new career in Childcare or Health and Social Care. Courses will be running across the city in January and February.

Health and Social Care courses
Would you like to:
• Make a difference to the welfare of children and adults?
• Get nationally recognised qualifications that are accepted by employers?
• Have the opportunity to gain practical work experience in Health and Social Care?

The new courses available are:
Level 1 Award Working with Adults in Health and Social Care - This course develops the basic knowledge of social care work with adults.

Level 1 Award Introduction to Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Settings - This course develops basic knowledge of social care work with children and young people.

Childcare courses
Would you like to:
• Get into a new career working with children or young people?
• Get nationally recognised qualifications to help you get work in childcare?

The new courses available are:
Level 1 Award Introduction to Early Years Setting
This course develops the basic knowledge of early years childcare needed for working with children up to five years old.

Level 1 Award Working with Children and Young People in Schools
This course is for people who are working or want to work as a teaching assistant in a school. Students on this course will work or volunteer in a school for at least seven hours per week. You will be required to complete a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.

Teaching Assistant and Support Worker in Schools (fast-track course)
Level 2 Certificate Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools
