New NW Community Empowerment Awards Scheme

North West Together We Can, supported by Our Life, has launched a new Community Empowerment Award to reward best practice in communities around empowerment, cohesion and resilience that has taken place over the last 12 months in the North West.

Do you know of any community and voluntary groups that have delivered a project that has made a positive difference in their community and which you think should be recognised for their achievements? Nominations can be made using the attached nomination form.

All the entries and the winners will be celebrated at a Free Awards Event on:
Date & Time: Wednesday 12 December 2012, 12:30 – 16:00
Venue: Manchester Metropolitan University, Didsbury Campus

The event will be hosted by Manchester Metropolitan University Institute of Education, Community Audit and Evaluation Centre.
Guest Speaker at the event will be Pam Warhurst CBE, Chair of the Forestry Commission and founder member and now secretary of Incredible Edible, in Todmorden.
