Our Manchester: Complete our survey of assets used by people with learning disabilities

14 Nov 2016 - 15:54 by helen.walker

Recent conversations with people with a learning disability have highlighted the difficulties they can experience in finding out what services and activities are available in their local area. We would like to make this easier so in partnership with Breakthrough UK, Macc are conducting a stocktake of assets used by people with a learning disability in Manchester.

To do this, we would like your help in identifying and sharing up-to-date information on the services, activities and resources that organisations in Manchester provide specifically for people with a learning disability or that are accessible to and inclusive of people with a learning disability. Whether you are part of an organisation or an individual, please help us to capture information about discrete services or activities that we don't currently know about. This will allow us to find out where hidden resources and expertise lie in the local sector and enable our stocktake to be as accurate as possible. The information gathered will then be collated and made available publicly for anyone to access.

Organisations - please complete the survey via the following link with the services or activities that you provide - bit.ly/2g2oM36. We are ideally looking for one response per organisation but if there is a lot of information to capture, please complete another survey response.

Individuals - if you know of any services or activities in your local community that we should know about, please complete the individual survey at bit.ly/2fipS9u. This survey is also available in easy read at: bit.ly/2eISkxq

Please share this information and these surveys with any organisations that you feel it is relevant to, as well as your clients and networks. If you would like further information, have any questions or require paper copies of these surveys, please contact Adele on 0161 834 9823 or at [email protected].

The deadline for all responses is Friday 25 November 2016
