A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been agreed between the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector and the Greater Manchester Health and Social Care Partnership. This document is unique and signifies an intention to transform the relationship between the sector and health and social care devolution.
It is not a document owned by any one VCSE organisation but by the sector as a whole. In fact, the more organisations that 'sign up' to the MoU will show that we plan to be a part of devolution and that we are a very diverse sector. It will also show that we share some common values and ways of working – including a spirit of inclusion and collaboration.
Mike Wild, Macc Chief Executive, has signed up and we would encourage as many organisations as possible to do so too. GMCVO will make the list of signing organisations public and share it with public sector colleagues who are responsible for ensuring the MoU is implemented at local or city-region levels.
