Safeguarding Adults Week 17 – 21 November 2025

Safeguarding Adults Week is a national event where organisations have an opportunity to come together to raise awareness about keeping adults safe from harm, abuse and neglect.

This year’s focus is on prevention taking action early to stop abuse before it happens. While it’s important to respond when things go wrong, it’s even more powerful to create safer environments from the start.

Throughout the week, Manchester Safeguarding Partnership will be holding an Adult Safeguarding Conference focusing on the importance of prevention.

Ann Craft Trust are working with partners to explore different safeguarding topics each day, share real-life stories where early action made a difference, and provide practical tools to help embed prevention into everyday practice.

Why it matters: Prevention helps avoid harm, neglect, and isolation. Everyone has a role to play in creating safer communities. Speaking up early can protect someone from reaching crisis point. Let’s build a culture where people feel safe, supported, and confident to act when something doesn’t feel right.
