The Start Something Project

The Start Something Project, is Youth Elements CIC fully funded Enterprise and Employment programme for individuals age (19+). The project will give participants the motivation, self belief and determination to be enterprising and employable.

The programme starts on Tuesday 25 November, in Central Manchester which takes place on 2 days a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for 10 weeks.

Travel expenses will be reimbursed.

The motivational and practical workshops will give learners hands on skills and knowledge to recognise their own worth and ability. This will give them a realistic understanding of what they have and what they need to acquire for their preferred career or employment. Youth Elements is committed to support individuals to achieve their desired outcomes. An after care service is available after completion.

Eligibility Criteria:
• Unemployed and must be 19 years +
• Legally resident in the UK
• We welcome lone parents, people with disabilities or health conditions and ethnic minorities
• Must have the right to work in the European Union

Accreditation:
Learners will receive National Accreditation from AQA, Assessment and Qualifications Alliance and City and Guilds.

The Units are at Entry level 1, 2 ,3 in the following areas:
• Self-management
• Team working
• Problem solving
• Searching and applying for jobs
• Interview techniques
