The Greater Manchester VCFSE Leadership Group have opened a Rep Appointment Process for the GM Green City Partnership.
The Greater Manchester Green City Region Partnership (the Partnership) provides strategic oversight of the delivery of the Greater Manchester 5 Year Environment Plan through a Mission Based Approach. In essence, the Mission Based Approach requires setting an ambitious Mission ‘Carbon Neutral City Region by 2038’ and breaking this down into manageable challenges. Rather than focusing on particular sectors, this approach focuses on problem specific challenges facing society, which will require many different sector’s involvement to solve.
It is important that the nominated VCSE representative will provide VCSE insight to the discussions and decision-making. To act as a conduit to the VCSE sector, both disseminating information across the VCSE networks, and equally collating broader VCSE insight to bring back to the groups.

The Partnership are looking to appoint 1 or 2 VCSE Representatives, ideally representing networks, infrastructure organisations or communities themselves that are currently under-represented in environment work and the green agenda. Specifically, the partnership is hoping to offer positions to those who can represent diverse equalities voices and inclusion groups.
