Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) is preparing a coordinated response to selected questions in the Government’s consultation on the future of the Warm Homes Discount Scheme.
The consultation focuses on proposals to extend and improve the scheme beyond March 2026, with the aim of supporting around 6 million low-income and vulnerable households through energy bill rebates. It also seeks feedback on eligibility criteria, administration improvements, and stakeholder insights to shape the scheme for winter 2026/27 and beyond.
GMCA are particularly keen to hear from priority groups across Greater Manchester, including:
- Older people
- Disabled people
- Parents with young children
- Individuals on low incomes
- People who are digitally excluded
