We Tell You Project - City Mental Health Research Project

42nd Street and Hideaway Youth Project are working in partnership on a city wide research project to address the long standing issue of young black male’s mental health.

The We Tell You project would like to hear the voices of a wide range of young black males across the city of Manchester. They are aiming to build a clear, up to date picture of the mental health and psychological wellbeing of established black communities, to inform future service provision.

• The project would like to engage Young Black Men aged 16-25 to hear their opinions about what they identify as the main ‘stressors’ of modern day living

• 42nd Street and Hideaway Youth Project are looking for 8 Community Researchers aged 16-25 who would receive training and have the opportunity to go on a London residential Community researchers will: learn how to engage and gather Manchester’s black communities’ opinions and meet influential people and services in the field.

• The young men involved in the project can share their ideas and views through a variety of fun interactive sessions that are informal, and promote improved wellbeing and resilience for participants.
