World Disability Billiards and Snooker Manchester Classic - Support / Event Sponsorship needed

3 Feb 2017 - 10:37 by michelle.foster

WDBS (World Disability Billiards and Snooker) are looking for companies and organisations who operate in the Manchester area to provide financial sponsorship by way of prize money for the respective disability groups which this tournament is catering for. The WDBS is a non-profit organisation and therefore the financial sponsorship is held directly by them and given to the players at tournaments end. WDBS

The WDBS is an umbrella organisation of the WPBSA (World Professional Billiards Snooker Association) which is responsible for governing the sports of snooker and billiards globally.

WDBS are looking for £275 to cover prize money for one classification group. It costs a player over £200 to travel and stay for the event plus £25 to enter which goes towards officials and venue costs so WDBS are looking to incentivise more players to take part and grow awareness and the profile through your support. Finally, the finances are split by group to: Winner, Runner up and a high break prize.

For the Manchester Classic, WDBS will stage 1-5 classification groups. 1-2 (Wheelchair) 3-5 (Ambulant). The classifications where there aren’t enough players will be grouped together. So groups 3/4 will have a competition and 1-2 together as an example.

From your support, WDBS would like to invite a representative member from Company / Organisation to attend the final days play and to be active in the presentation party with handing awards and photo opportunities as well.

In addition, WDBS shall also feature you across their social media channels to raise awareness and further enhance your online profile through association with the WDBS. In addition, WDBS shall work with you alongside their press officer to build local networking and exposure through media channels.

The WDBS appreciates any financial contributions and support for the upcoming tournament.
