Young Roots – grants to engage young people with heritage

18 Dec 2014 - 11:30 by michelle.foster

Apply for a grant of £10,000-£50,000 to help young people aged 11 to 25 to explore their heritage, from green spaces, museums, and historic sites to language, local memories and youth culture.

The Heritage Lottery Fund are enthusiastic about engaging young people with heritage. Getting involved helps them develop new skills and interests, connect with their communities and have fun. And they bring fresh ideas and enthusiasm to projects.

Through Young Roots, The Heritage Lottery Fund want to give young people aged 11–25 the chance to plan and deliver their own heritage projects. They’re supported along the way by heritage and youth organisations working together. Projects celebrate the young people’s achievements and share what they're learning with the wider community.

There are no application deadlines for this programme – apply anytime.
