The Greater Manchester Resilience Hub together with our Pathfinder Partnership members invite you to register to attend the Greater Manchester's Sexual Assault recovery partnership 1 year event.
Background to the Sexual Assault Recovery Partnership
In the spring of 2022, NHS England sought to commission a number of sexual assault and abuse services pathfinder pilots across the country, with the purpose of developing support for survivors of sexual assault and abuse who experience additional and complex mental health needs.
In the autumn of 2022 the Greater Manchester Sexual Assault and Abuse Services (later to become known as the pathfinder partnership) was formed.
The partnership includes:
- The Greater Manchester Resilience Hub (hosted by Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust) as lead partner
- Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust, Sexual Assault Referral Centre
- We Are Survivors
- Manchester Action on Street Health
- TRC Sexual Abuse & Rape Support Greater Manchester (formally Trafford Rape Crisis)
- Greater Manchester Rape Crisis
The service mobilised in the spring of 2023.
Since that time significant progress has been achieved, with partnership relationships strengthened and a united vision for the programme agreed, and most importantly, with improving outcomes for the survivors it represents.
The day will be an opportunity to:
- Celebrate what has been achieved to date
- Promote the service and inform colleagues on how it supports survivors with complex mental health needs
- Consider how we can sustain and develop what has been built to date to further meet the needs of survivors
