NCVO: Advanced data protection (2 days)

This advanced course is specifically for data protection leads or officers in charitable organisations.

By the end of the training, you'll;

• be aware of any recent or upcoming changes to data protection legislation, and be able to assess your organisation’s current compliance
• understand the data protection documents and policies your organisation needs to implement, practising data mapping and building a Record of Processing Activity in real time
• have applied your knowledge of lawful bases to real-life examples and considered whether your organisation’s current use is appropriate
• understand the intricacies of recognising and responding to Subject Access Requests and data breaches
• understand the role of a Data Protection Officer and whether your organisation needs to appoint one
• understand when to complete transfer risk assessments and other safeguards around international data transfers
