Greater Manchester Rape Crisis (GMRC) are looking for qualified counsellors fluent in specific languages to provide vital support to survivors of rape, sexual assault, and sexual abuse within our diverse communities. Languages required: Polish, Amharic, Punjabi, Herero, Farsi and Tigrinya.
This is an ad hoc, sessional role, with work offered as and when need arises. The rate of pay is £32 to £40 per hour depending on experience. Sessions may be delivered in person or virtually, depending on client needs.
This opportunity is specifically for counsellors who can deliver therapy in the languages listed above – helping GMRC to ensure survivors can access support in their first language. The deadline for applications is 21st August at 5pm.
Important requirement: Successful applicants must be available to attend in-person training across several dates TBC.
