Join the Live Well Live webinar with the We’re Right Here campaign (WRH) to explore how community-powered neighbourhood governance can put communities at the heart of local decision-making, shift power closer to people and places, and reshape the relationship between communities and public services across Greater Manchester and beyond.
Webinar speakers will include WRH campaign leaders sharing Greater Manchester based examples of neighbourhood governance in practice, including community covenants and neighbourhood forums, alongside learning from Live Well implementation.
Communities know their neighbourhoods, understand the challenges they face and have ideas about how things could work better. However, 84% of adults feel they have ‘not much’ or ‘no control’ over decisions affecting their neighbourhood and local support.
Neighbourhood governance offers a way forward to grow community power by shifting decision-making closer to communities, working in partnership with VCFSE organisations and public services to set priorities, shape local support and take collective action.
