Join Young Manchester and Greater Manchester Youth Network to connect and learn about From Play to Pay: A new project developing a toolkit to tackle gaming and gambling harms.
Are you a youth worker, educator, carer, or policy maker in Greater Manchester? Come learn about From Play to Pay, a project all about the potential pipeline from gaming to gambling. Greater Manchester Youth Network and Young Manchester are co-creating a toolkit that's by and for young people.
Over the evening:
- Network with others in the gambling harms and youth space
- Learn how to get involved in From Play to Pay to help yourself and the young people you engage with
- Give your input on how this toolkit would work for you!
- More about From Play to Pay
The toolkit will be informed by the work that's already out there on gambling harms, youth work practice, young people's lived experience, and the direction of a youth steering committee
And after the toolkit has been created? Young Manchester and Greater Manchester Youth Network will be going out to groups across Manchester to provide support on using this toolkit and creating a set of social action projects. Ultimately, they are seeking to influence long-term policy by proving that community-based, trauma-informed intervention is the most effective way to reduce gambling-related health inequalities.
