The BARC Welfare Fusion café in St Lukes Church and Neighbourhood Centre, Longsight, was established following the closure of the Elderly Day Care Service during the summer of July 2013 whom many of the Elders, Trustees and Executive Committee were saddened to see close.
The Broad African Representative Council (BARC) put their ideas together and Fusion Community Cafe was born!
The funds raised from the Community Cafe will allow BARC to be more sustainable in providing services and projects within the organisation such as the Luncheon Club and Young Peoples mentoring projects.
How can you help?
Fusion Community Cafe is open every Tuesday 12pm-2.30pm serving fresh home cooked, healthy meals including halal, vegetarian and vegan options. The menu is different each week which allows their volunteers to create delicious meals each week.
Enjoy your lunch at Fusion Cafe, read the daily paper, enjoy a quick game of ping pong, shoot a game of pool in the pool room or just relax in the cafe over a hot drink.
