Action for Children are looking for 8 people to join their team of full time and respite Foster Carers in the Manchester area as part of a new and exciting opportunity. Earn up to £640 per week.
Action for Children is working with Manchester City Council to introduce an intensive foster care service for older children and teenagers. This type of foster care has been tried and tested in over 50 locations around the world and has achieved some amazing results. The programme will give the most vulnerable children in Manchester a chance of a positive future. Join Action for Children and be part of the team that will really make a difference.
If you have a spare room and the desire to give children and young people a chance at a brighter future by offering them stability, care and support in a family home; showing understanding at the same time as establishing positive boundaries and rewards, then you could be part of the team.
If you have experience of working with or caring for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 17 and you feel that you could use your skills to make a big difference to the most vulnerable children in the area then Action for Children would love to hear from you.
As one of the team you will receive:
• A competitive fee of £640 per week
• Extensive training and development opportunities
• 24 hour support from an experienced fostering team
• You will also meet with other carers and the programme supervisor, who will provide you with guidance and support
• Regular paid breaks from your fostering responsibilities
