Funding for micro/small charities working with vulnerable young people at risk of being involved in serious violence

gmcaThe Government has announced that the Home Office has secured additional, one-off emergency support funding for small/micro charities that are working in marginalised communities with vulnerable young people at risk of being involved in serious violence.

The Greater Manchester Violence Reduction Unit has been provided funding to allocate grants to Greater Manchester’s small and micro charities (defined as those having an income less than £100,000 per annum). The offer of this emergency funding is only for activity delivered between 1 April 2020 and 31 October 2020 (inclusive) and is being provided as emergency support funding in response to the immediate pressures created by Covid-19.

To be eligible for this funding, you must be either a registered charity, charitable incorporated organisation or a social enterprise (including companies limited by guarantee and community interest companies).

Furthermore, you will need to provide evidence that your organisation is experiencing:

  • immediate financial hardship
  • significantly increased demand, or
  • an urgent need to adapt services to meet Covid-19 associated measures (e.g. social distancing)

If your organisation meets the eligibility criteria, you are invited to apply for this funding by completing the attached spreadsheet.

This will need to be returned by email to Jason Grant at: [email protected] by Wednesday 1 July 2020, 12pm.

In addition to this template, provide evidence that your organisation’s income is less than £100,000 per annum.
